Speech Disorders
We treat abnormalities in sound production, including:
- Articulation Disorders: Difficulty making sounds in syllables or saying words correctly, making speech difficult to understand.
- Fluency Disorders (Stuttering): Interruptions in the normal flow or rate of speech.
- Voice/Resonance Disorders: Abnormalities in pitch, loudness, or vocal quality that can impact confidence and communication ease.
Language and Feeding Disorders
- Language Disorders: Difficulties in understanding others (receptive) or sharing thoughts and ideas (expressive).
- Feeding/Swallowing Disorders (Dysphagia): Difficulties in the normal way of eating or swallowing, often secondary to other medical conditions or anatomical issues like cleft palate.
Our Intervention Services
Early intervention is critical, as the brain’s ability to adapt is highest during early development. Our certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) provide:
- Comprehensive speech, language, and voice assessments.
- One-on-one and group therapy sessions.
- Specialized Auditory-Verbal Therapy (AVT) for cochlear implant recipients.
- Neurological speech and language disorder management (e.g., post-stroke recovery).
